NEW MUSIC: BIG SEAN FT CHRIS BROWN - MY LAST

Im in love with Big Sean! 'My Last' is his first single off his debut album 'Finally Famous' which will be out in May!! Cannot wait! I love the Finally Famous Vol 3 mixtape, always got it on blast! Although im not exactly crazy about this track, he has defo go a lot more material that is worth a listen. Anyway here's the video:

ENGLISH FRANK: CREP CHECK

Yeah so i saw bare people hyping about this on twitter so I fort *sigh* lemme give in and watch it! Here goes:

So English Frank is basically saying wearing brands such as Gucci, Nike etc shouldn't define who you are and don't get 'gassed' over wearing a gucci scarf inna rave. Can't lie guys that wear that should in raves really grind my gears. You come there to rave not to stand up with a scarf on your head looking like a utter wolly. Anyway, I get what English Frank is trying to say but mmm burning the trainers and stuff is a bit over bored aint it. There's nothing wrong with wearing designer clothes but don't kill yourself for it. A Gucci belt is so played out. I wanna see more guys moving away from that 'typical' guyman look. Its beyond played out. But at the same time, I don't give a flying monkeys, each to their own, do what you want. Just know more time you look quite silly! :)

Leave A Comment please xx

THE MODEL AGENCY: LEOMIE ANDERSON

Awww im in love with this programme, watching it right now as I write this quick blog! Now if your not too familiar with The Model Agency, its based on the viewing the ins and outs of top modelling agency Premier. Now it may sound boring but its far from it. Anyway, over this series, one model has really shone out for me - Leomie Anderson. Thought i'd quickly check out some of her work so far.

Here's the link for these shoes: http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Alpine-Block-Heel-Brogue-Ankle-Boots/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1183447&SearchQuery=alpine&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=DarkRed

Dr Marten Diva Darcie Boot: Im a BIG lover of Dr Martens, and ive been meaning cop these boots for aggggeeessss. I actually want a navy patent pair but can't find them anywhere. So i may settle with black. Ill be buying mine on ebay from a trusted seller. The shops sell em for around £90-95 *Pssshhh*
oooo Ive also seen a brown leather pair that look nice and there's a black leather pair with flower pattern on em. Cute!

These chunky heels from Office are defo on trend for this summer. Im loving the print on these and im quite supposed Office have some nice heels this summer (usually they are a bunch of garbage. They are £72 which isn't too bad.

Anyway even you dont like these ones in particular i suggest to cope a pair of heels similiar to these. i will be rocking mine with a shirt, cute skirt and ankle socks.

ALBUM REVIEW: WIZ KHALIFA - ROLLING PAPERS

So the highly anticipated album arrives and all heard was it's 'rubbish' 'crap' 'waste of time' from people who had listened to it. I decided I'd have a listen to it myself. I love Wiz K and am very excited about seeing him in May but this just isn't the Wiz i first rated. Even so the album is not crap, it just didnt excite me really! Meh!

Have a listen for yourself....

MUSIC ALERT: JHENE AIKO - SAILING SOULS

Been wondering where this girl vanished too. If your too familiar with Jhene Aiko, she first came out around 6/7 years ago and I was in love with her songs e.g. 'Dog' and 'Down 4 you'. So I heard she was back with a mixtape 'Sailing Souls'! I LOVE this mixtape too much! I love the fact that her music has matured. The mixtape has features of Kanye West, Miguel, Drake and most of the songs were written by Jhene.

Here's one of the songs from her mixtape called 'July' (this is the original without Drake - i personally prefer it):

MUSIC ALERT: JAMIE WOON

On thursday night, i was up doing my hair and merely flicking through the tv channels and ending up sticking to 4Play: Jamie Woon on Channel 4. Hadn't heard of him before but thought i'd give him a listen. Jamie Woon is a British singer/songwriter  and producer from New Malden. Before 4Play, I hadn't heard any of his music but he has been around for a while. His music reminds me of the mixture of soul/rnb and electronica. I really like his music, not something i would shaking a leg to but defo the type of music that can assist to a pleasant, chilled evening in (preferably with large glass of wine ;p).

Here are some of his video's:

His debut album 'MirrorWriting' will be in stores on 11th April but is available to pre-order on itunes NOW!

To check out some of his music, here is a link to his youtube channel:  http://www.youtube.com/user/jamiewoon

KERI HILSON BE KILLIN' IT

GOSH ALMIGHTY! This chick can really carry off blonde hairstyles and right now im loving this one she's rocking! I've always wanted to go blonde but im soo scared!! Ive done a lot of experimenting with my hair but never have I gone blonde. Its a daring move that only a few girls can really pull off.

P.S. Not everyone can rock a blonde hairdo and be a badass like Keri! Be careful before you pursue.

BRANDY SINGING ETTA JAMES - 'AT LAST' ^_^

MY GOSH can this girl sing!! I love Brandy and have always loved her music! Saw this video today on Concreteloop.com of her singing Etta James - At Last! Now I loved when Beyonce did her rendition on this classic at Obama's inaugural dance. But Brandy just hit the nail on the head with this one! I hope her career kicks off again.

BRAIDS, BRAIDSSSS, BRAIDZZZZZZZZZZ

All the hollywood chicas are now rocking braids. From Solange to Ciara...even Kim K wore braids for her music video (Dont get me started with this music career of hers). Anyway, so we braids are officially back and I hope to see a lot of chicas rocking them. I remember back in primary school there were a occassions where I had extensions even though I HATED them and haven't had them since. However, I think this summer I will be letting go of the remy and try some long chunky extensions or ghana braids. If your really dearing, why not put some shells, beads in em.

Check out some of the fab chicas who have rocked braids and rocked them very well:

YOUTUBE TALENT!

So remember my post last week about Anhalya. Well I was browsing on youtube and saw a new video from her. Now I love Miguel Jontel - Sure thing (If you havent got his mixtape, google it and download NOW). Anyway Anhayla has covered 'Sure Thing' and I think i like it better than the original and now thats saying something. She's added her own flavour to it as usual. I will downloaded this for sure.

Here's the vid:

I also came across English Frank the other day. Everyone on twitter has been going on about him so i thought i'd check it out for myself. Love it! The UK definitely has talent and it's about time we start fully pushing our music! Check it this video on SBTV:

EVENT ALERT: ANGIE STONE

2011 is defo the year for concerts. So far i've been to J Cole and The Foriegn Exchange concerts. I will be attending Dwele on 1st April, Blackatar: Mos Def, Talib Kweli etc on 10th May and Wiz Khalifa on 17th May. I definitely plan on attending many more. (I was going to see Giggs on Wednesday but his whole tour got cancelled *shakes fist at the police*

Angie Stone has been around for years and I honestly love her music. I found out she will be performing at the Jazz Cafe on 14th and 16th June. Think I may take my mum to this one. Angie Stone's music is quite grown, soulful and as for her voice Pftttt. I say you get yourself down there.

POETRY TIME: MAYA ANGELOU

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL - Maya Angelou
We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.
